CERTIFICATION
Apply to become a certified Conifold Counseling provider today!

-
Membership is not prohibitively expensive, because our goal is to make this toolkit readily available to licensed professional therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers.
-
However we do want to maintain quality control, so individuals who are practicing under this title are legally obligated to have the licensing, certification, and training in place to succeed with these efforts.
-
The membership structure and certification process are therefore designed to ensure that individuals utilizing this approach in mental health practice are committed to truth and integrity.
-
For this reason, we do not certify individuals who employ pseudoscientific methods in their practice. These disqualifying practices include quantum mysticism, mitochondrial meditation, human energy fields, dianetics, astrology, numerology, heartmath, homeopathy, parapsychology, and hypnotic regression.
-
The goal of Conifold Counseling is to build an understanding of the mind-body relationship with a strong scientific basis. In service of this goal, the theoretical framework and its practical applications are subject to independent criticism and rigorous peer review. As time goes on, the predictions of Conifold Theory will be vetted by formal clinical testing of outcome measures. As this process unfolds, strategy guides and other resources will be provided to the community to effectively communicate the published principles of Conifold Theory. Any new methods or terminology which go beyond this foundation are welcomed into the discussion. These proposals will be greeted with both respect and critical evaluation, and any new approaches that are shared with the community will be credited to the person or persons who developed the idea. In this way, we can build a supportive community of mental health practitioners who nurture both their clients and each other.
